An Update on "The Project"

A couple of weeks ago, I said a few words about the project I have been working on.

Today, I started writing my first draft and I am pretty pleased with how it is starting to come together at this early stage. While I had some initial concerns about whether it was going to be a substantial enough piece to submit for publication, I think I will have little problem reaching the target length.

Also, I found a website that hosts working papers. As I get further into the project, I will make that available as well.

After all, if you have been checking here every day (or several times a day), wondering if I had fallen off the face of the earth, then the least I can do is share my work with you.

More later...

A little good news

Thanks to all who offered words of support last week in the wake my father's health scare. We are still not quite sure what happened, but I am happy to report that a heart attack was effectively ruled out earlier this week. A few tests are still required to rule out a stroke, but it seems that dad will be well enough to attend my swearing-in at Faneuil Hall later this month.

Yes, it seems that my parents are intent on travelling out here for the ceremony, a fact that was a rather pleasant surprise since I had always sort of thought that only The Lady Exile would accompany me since the rest of my family is hundreds of miles away. I hope they are prepared for New England in the late autumn.
